Arcadia Pro T5 Kit
The Arcadia Pro T5 UVB Kit is an easy to use kit that can be fixed easily inside of a vivarium, rested upon a wire meshed glassed terrarium, hung above a tortoise enclosure or hung within (where safe to do so).
It is made with high quality internal electronics, and has a highly effective but removable reflector, power cable, fittings kit, free link cable and Arcadia Reptile HO-T5 UV-B lamp. Each bar has inbuilt over-voltage, over current, over heating and short circuit protection. ProT5 is Teflon free and free from any reflector coatings that absorb UV.
Its sleek design and specially curved reflector will ensure that you take up less space but project as much light forward as possible. The reflector has 2 angles of reflection from each curve and are easy to remove and clean as required.
The lamp projects high levels of UV-rich light directly beneath the unit to create a basking zone but then light also spreads out over distance to provides a wide flood.
The kit also comes with a link cable that allows you to link up to 10 kits together for multiple enclosures, using just one plug socket.
What T5 kit to use for my tortoise and what height should I fix it at?
For desert species of tortoise (such as leopards, indian stars, greek tortoises) it is recommended to fix the lamp 12"-15" above the height of the tortoise, this will achieve 8.5-6.5 UVI using the 12% T5 kit.
For forest dwelling species of tortoise (such as red foot tortoises) it is recommended to fix the lamp 12"-15" above the height of the tortoise, this will achieve 4.5-3.6 UVI using the 6% T5 kit.
