Starter accessory packs for Tortoises

This comprehensive starter pack has been carefully put together using tried and tested products especially for the different breeds of tortoises sold here at HappyTortoises. It contains everything you need to get started and more..

Main starter pack:
Each starter pack includes:
• 1x 21cm glow-light UVB lamp holder
• 1x 80w Arcardia UVB bulb
• 1x water bowl (small) - a nice shallow dish to allow baby tortoises easy access in and out of bowl
• 1x food bowl (medium) - a nice shallow dish to allow easy access plus is larger than the water bowl to allow food to be spread around minimising contact with substrate
• 1x playstix (medium) - for you to shape into a hide and can be adjusted as your tortoise grows. Please note this is a natural product so don’t expect the sticks to be perfectly straight!
• 1x sphagnum moss (to place in the hide to create a humid area)
• 1x artificial boston fern (selected to provide a lovely place for your tortoise to hide under)
• 1x cuttlefish. This is sourced from UK coastline, it is a natural product so sizes may vary from photo and some that may be pecked or nibbled at by other wildlife. The cuttlefish has been pre-boiled so is clean and safe for your tortoise.
• 1x calcium powder supplement.
• 1x vitamin and mineral supplement.
• 1x F10 tortoise-safe disinfectant (with spray nozzle), ready to use
• 1x water spray bottle (empty and pet safe)
• 1x digital thermometer and hygrometer with min/max setting

Leopard tortoise starter pack includes everything listed in main starter pack PLUS:
• 1x adhesive heat mat (to be fixed to lid of “bedroom” area, out of reach of the tortoise)
• 1x thermostat to be used with heat mat
• 1x artificial star cactus plant (selected to imitate foliage found in natural habitat plus will provide another place for your tortoise to hide behind)
• 10L substrate (specially prepared for Leopard tortoises to imitate substrate found in natural habitat)

Indian star tortoise starter pack includes everything listed in main starter pack PLUS:
• 1x adhesive heat mat (to be fixed to lid of “bedroom” area, out of reach of the tortoise)
• 1x thermostat to be used with heat mat
• 1x artificial jade cactus plant (selected to imitate foliage found in natural habitat plus will provide another place for your tortoise to hide behind)
• 10L substrate (specially prepared for Indian Star tortoises to imitate substrate found in natural habitat)

Mediterranean spur-thighed (“Greek”) tortoise starter pack includes everything listed in main starter pack PLUS:
• 1x artificial turtle grass plant (selected to imitate foliage found in natural habitat plus will provide another place for your tortoise to hide behind)
• 10L substrate (specially prepared for Mediterranean spur-thighed tortoises to imitate substrate found in natural habitat)
