Microchips for tortoises

If you would like to microchip your tortoise, then you can make huge savings by purchasing the microchip from us and give to your reptile specialist vet to implant.

We highly recommend these premium nano 7mm microchips as they are super tiny and much more comfortable for your tortoise. These aren’t often kept in stock by vets as they tend to use the larger, more commonly used microchips for larger animals which can be uncomfortable for your tortoise.

We have used these nano 7mm microchips in various sized tortoises from 100mm plastron length tortoises up to fully grown adult tortoises, without any issues.

They come ready to use by your vet or trained microchip implanter. You can take the unopened packet to your reptile specialist vet and they will implant the chip for you, only charging for the vet visit.

Each microchip comes ready to use with a disposable syringe, it is pre-loaded with an ISO compliant, anti-migration coated microchip, all housed within a high precision medical grade sterile needle.

These microchips are manufactured to EU standards, with biocompatible glass and come with 6 barcode labels relating to the individual chip number. Each package is sterilized when sealed with an indicator to confirm that complete sterilization has been achieved.

We strongly recommend you register with petlog after the microchip has been implanted as vets use this database to track owners of lost microchipped tortoises.
